What is Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) and how do I access it?
Answer
Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a data platform that specializes in financial data - company-specific financials, financial markets, prices, returns, and can provide historical data. It provides a single place to access multiple datasets.
The Stuart School of Business pays for this resource and manages this account, not the library. Currently only Stuart PhD students and faculty are eligible to use this resource. Faculty may request a class account, which allows students in a particular course to access the resource for the time that they are in the course.
While the Business Liaison Librarian can assist with research questions, any questions about accounts and access for WRDS should be directed to the Stuart representatives for this account - Chris Perry (cperry@stuart.iit.edu), Siva Balasubramanian (sivabalas@stuart.iit.edu), and Brandon CruzZavala (bcruzzav@stuart.iit.edu).
