Q. Where can I find the information I need to make a citation?

Answer

If you've searched for articles using the library search tool on the homepage, it's easy to find all the information you need for your citation. Everything is there on the page when you click into the search result. The diagram below shows where to get all the correct information so that you can double check a citation, even if you auto formatted it.

Citation Information by Galvin Library

Accessible Format:

First line of text under "Article" heading: Title of the article

Line of text underneath title: Author names

Line of text underneath author names: Journal title, date published, volume number, issue number, and page numbers.

Citation icon: Click on the citation icon for an auto-generated citation. The last line of this citation will include the DOI. Make sure the right citation style (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc...) is selected. Always double check auto-generated citations as there are sometimes mistakes.
