I need an article but I can only access the abstract. How do I read the whole thing?

Answer

First, if you are off campus, please try accessing the article through the appropriate database. Using our linked website will route you through a proxy server so that you can access Galvin's subscriptions.

If you still can't access the full article, that means that we do not subscribe to that particular journal. To obtain articles from these journals, we use a service called Interlibrary Loan that is covered by your tuition. Interlibrary loan allows libraries all around the world to share items in their collections. To place an interlibrary loan request:

  1. Click the Interlibrary Loan Link.
  2. Choose the first button ("Illinois Institute of Technology Faculty, Staff, and Students") to login in with your myIIT credentials.
  3. Click the link on the right side of the page that says "Create Request."
  4. Enter the article information and click "Submit."

You will receive an email when a PDF is ready for you to download. This usually takes anywhere from 1-7 business days.
